- What are the minimum system requirements to run the KMM software?
Windows XP, 512 K of RAM, 2 GB of free hard drive space, 1.2 Gzh processor, USB 2.0 port MS WINDOWS XP. Windows Vista in development and will be released by the end of 2007
- What printer is recommended?
A standard black laser printer such as the HP LaserJet 1020 is recommended.

What is the cost to create a Music CD or Story CD when I reorder? What is the cost to create a name poem? Burn: $1.25 and includes the pre-printed art background. Minimum 5 of the same item.
- How many different names are available?
For Music CD's, over 4000 names, for Storybook CD’s, over 6000 names. Keep in mind that each name that is sung in a song covers every possible phonetic spelling of that name, including unique spellings. For printed products, the name selection is unlimited.
- What if I only want to sell music CD’s?
The music CD's & Storybooks are the most popular selling KMM products. You can choose to sell only those items that appeal to you. You can always add other items to expand your offerings when you're ready.
- What is the cost for future upgrades to the music software or new songs, etc?
You will never be charged for new KMM software or updates. You will be notified of new releases so you can take advantage of new items as soon as they are released.
- Do you offer technical assistance?
Yes. We offer unlimited toll-free technical support. The technical support staff is available 60 hours a week.
- How do we personalize the CD labels?
The labels are shipped to you with the faces pre-printed in color but you can easily personalize the individual labels for your customer using the label creator included in the software.
- How long does it take to burn a CD?
It depends on the computer but normally it typically takes 2 minutes for a music CD and 40 seconds for a story book CD.
- What CD’s do you recommend using?
CDR's with a speed of 48X or greater. The speed is always displayed on the packaging. We recommend purchasing CD’s that are do not have writing printed on the face as you may be able to see the writing through the label.
- Where can I purchase CD’s and jewel cases?
The CD and CD Jewel Cases can be purchased locally as they are now so inexpensive that it no longer makes sense to ship them. www.uline.com or www.amazon.com or www.ebay.com may be good sources for CD’s & jewel cases if you choose to buy online or any local computer or office supply store.
- What is a jewel case and is a specific size required?
Jewel cases hold the CD and Tray Card. Standard size jewel cases are required because the tray-cards can only fit in the standard size.
- What are tray cards and how do I purchase them?
When you purchase a music or storybook burn the tray card in included in that price. Tray cards are printed in full color and make for a very professional presentation to complete the gift.
- What are the minimum purchase requirements for CD burns?
The minimum total number of burns that can be purchased is 25, with a minimum of 5 for each specific album.
- Can I purchase more CD labels?
Sufficient labels are included to cover the burns provided with each start-up package. Additional labels are sold in packages of 100 for $20.
- Do I need an internet connection to re-order more burns?
You do not need internet connection, but you do need to be in front of your computer when ordering.
- How are burns loaded on to my computer?
All burns are loaded over the telephone. You will need to be in front of your computer and read a code that displays in your software. The KMM representative will then read a code back to you which you will type into your computer. It's quick and easy!
- How many USB 2.0 ports will I need?
Three USB 2.0 ports are needed. One for the SIDEKICK hard-drive containing the software and databases, one for the Security-KEY which keeps track of your burn inventory, and one for your printer. If you do not have 3 USB ports available on your computer, you can purchase an inexpensive USB Hub for approximately $20 that plugs into any available USB port.
- What is a DONGLE key?
A dongle-key, also known as a security-key is tiny device that plugs into USB 2.0 port, and allows you to open all KMM software. It also stores your entire burn inventory on this key.
- If I have multiple computers will I need multiple Dongle-keys?
Yes, if you are planning on using multiple computers at the same time. Additional dongles can be purchased for $20.
- Can I move the Dongle-key to a different computer?
Yes, you will need to close the software, transfer the key to the next computer, then re-open the software. Remember that your inventory is stored on the dongle-key and when you move to the key to a different computer, your inventory will move as well.
- How hard is it to burn a CD?
It takes five clicks of the mouse to burn CD. You will receive some practice burns with your start up package so you can make samples. After a few times you will feel comfortable with the software.
- What can I do if the software doesn’t have the customers name?
First try look for an alternate spellings, for example the name Kurt or Curt, But if the name is not in the software, we recommend trying to sell them a printed product that is available for every name.
- How hard is it to load a personalized song onto the ALARM CLOCK or Plush Animals?
It's truly simple and fast. You connect one end of a USB cable (provided) to your computer and the other end into the alarm clock or stuffed animal module. Then, using the software, you will click on the child’s name and hit UPLOAD In approximately twenty seconds the clock or plush is loaded and will start playing a demonstration.
- Does the computer system package come with a warranty?
Yes, if you purchase a start-up package that includes a computer, you receive a one year parts and labor warranty.
- Does the computer package come with a printer?
Yes, if you purchase a start-up package that includes a computer, a laser printer is included.
- How do you ship the products?
We ship either FedEx ground or UPS Ground unless specified otherwise. A physical address is required as we can not ship to a PO Box.
- Where do you ship from?
All products are shipped FOB from Southern California.
- How long does it take to ship the product?
Start-up packages are generally shipped within 2 to 5 business days. Reorders are shipped within 1 business day, and most orders received before 1 PM PST will ship the same day.
- What if I need the product overnighted to me?
If the order is received before 1 PM PST, we can usually ship the order overnight.
- My laptop has speakers; do you think they will be sufficient?
We definitely recommend purchasing a speaker set. This will help you demonstrate the music and story book CD’s with a quality sound. Speakers are a low-cost add-on that will contribute to greater sales.
- How much do I have to pay for software upgrades for KMM?
KMM does not charge for software upgrades. If new equipment is included in the upgrade then there may be a fee for the special equipment.
- What if my computer crashes? (SIDEKICK)
After restoring your computer, you will need to perform the initial set up once again. You will not lose any inventory, as it is stored on the Dongle-key and not the actual computer.
- What is the suggested retail price for the Music & Storybooks?
The suggested retail price for the Music & or Storybooks is from $20 to $25 depending up your local demographics.
- What is a "Burn"
A "burn" is the term used to refer to the creation of a gift by transferring the music to a CD or other personalized items.
- What is the cost to create a Music or Story CD when I reorder?

- Do you have a demonstration on how this works?
Clear written instructions and documentation are included with your start-up package. Unlimited toll-free support is also available. Marketing suggestions with sales scripting ideas for how to sell the products to your customers are also provided.
- What is the cost of the name poems?
The name poems cost $1.25 each and are sold together with the pre-printed art background. So you basically pay for the poem with the art background of your choice. The selected art backgrounds are mailed to you upon purchase.
- Can I create products in any of the 8 languages from my software?
English and Spanish are pre-loaded for U.S. customers. You can also request additional specific languages.
- Which CD’s & Story Books are available in Spanish? Currently "Tyro Kidz Tunes", "Fantastic Four & You", "Spider-Man & You", and the following storybooks: “My Pet Dino”, “My Neptune Voyage”, “My Lucky Leprechaun”, “My Day with Spider-Man”, “My Day with the Fantastic Four”
