A black toner laser printer is normally all that is needed to create beautiful PT gifts unless you desire print color text, add color photos to the gifts, or create Coat of Arms gifts. In that case, you could choose a color laser or color inkjet printer. Laser printers offer some advantages including: Print speed, consistent quality, lowest print cost, zero dry time, etc.
Remember that you will normally be printing the text only, (poems, name meanings, etc) on top of the pre-printer Personal Touch art backgrounds that we provide for you. This is the most cost effective, fastest (10 seconds upon pressing Print with many printers), and by far the highest quality way to create PT gifts.
Because printer models change so rapidly, we do not recommend any specific models. In fact, your current printer may work just fine so we suggest testing your printer for quality and compatibility, and purchase a new one only if needed. If you do decide to purchase a new printer, perhaps the most important feature is the ability to print on cardstock paper. (similar to thin business cards). The Personal Touch art backgrounds are pre-printed on acid-free, 65lb cardstock paper which is much thicker than standard paper. Another helpful feature is the ability to feed the art backgrounds into the printer face-up (image side up) instead of upside down which can take getting used to. Also the time it takes to print the 1st page is very important (less time is of course better).
The surest way to confirm printer performance/compatibility is to perform print testing using actual PT art backgrounds. This can be easily be accomplished by bringing several PT art backgrounds to your local computer printer supplier such as Best Buy, Office Depot, Office Max, Staples, etc and printing a demo page using the PT art backgrounds as your test paper. |

All of the Personal Touch art backgrounds are 8.5x11 inches in size. You can however easily create smaller gifts using the Gifts on Art software, and then trimming your art background to size after printing. |

The Personal Touch line of personalized gifts will provide you with appropriate gifts for selling throughout the year for every possible occasion. Here is an overview of a typical sale:
- Your customer selects any art-background from your "Master Art Book" or Art Brochure.
- Your customer provides you with their first name, or selects a poem from your "Master Poetry Book"
- Your customer decides how they would like to personalize their gift - For example "Dear Mom" for an opening, and "I love you very much" as a closing.
- Now you take over using the Personal Touch - Gifts on Art Software:
- Select your customer`s chosen art background, and it will then display on your computer.
- Select your customer`s chosen poem or first name, and it will then display right on top of the art-background ready for you to personalize it.
- Personalize the poem or name gift for your customer.
- Insert the "specialty art background" into your printer and press the PRINT button.

| SOFTWARE |

Yes. Unless specified otherwise, each Pesonal Touch software license allows the purchaser to maintain the software on 2 computers. We are on the honor system, so if you have a hard disk crash and need to re-install your software, you simply contact us after re-installing your software and we will provide you with a new unlock code . You can also purchase addtional licenses at a reduced cost if you desire to maintain the software on more than 2 computers.

Personal Touch software can run on Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7. PT Gifts on Art software (our primary software) can run on Windows 8. PT Coat of Arms software is not however compatible with Windows 8 at this time. |

Personal Touch rarely offers software UPGRADES for our software as the software is stable and no reason to come out with frequent upgrades.
As an example our Gifts on Art program is on Release level 3 which as been available for approximately 5+ years. The Version 3 release added Popular Bible Verses, and Famous Quotations to the software and thus was considered an UPGRADE from Version 2 due to the new features. We charge our customer $49 if they choose to UPGRADE from an earlier version. We believe this model offers a better value than having to purchase a separate software for
these features. |

Upgrades are availble for Personal Touch customers that purchased a smaller Gifts on Art start-up kit in the past and desire to upgrade to a higher GOA Start up Kit. Customers can upgrade one time to a higher kit within one year of initial purchase. The upgrade cost is equal to the higher start-up kit cost minus the initial start-up kit cost. |

The Gifts on Art software provides a cut-line tool that will allow you to easily create smaller gifts. After you print the text and cut-line on the art background, you can trim along the cut-line with a scissor or paper cutter to create your perfectly sized smaller gift. |
